Dear members of the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova!
Pesach is one of the most important holidays for our people. It symbolizes freedom and the great exodus from Egypt. Passover reminds us of the importance of striving for freedom, one of the values for which people have sacrificed themselves and fought for.
Passover brings spring, and with it warmth and hope for renewal and change for the better. Change that starts with each of us. The time in which we live speaks of the importance of peace and kindness. Our thoughts and actions, observance of the commandments of the sacred scriptures, philanthropy and virtue can make the reality around us better, despite any difficulties and obstacles.
The main symbol of Pesach is matzah. Our community, according to the already established good tradition, made sure that matzah is available on the festive table in every Jewish home. May the traditional Passover Seder be held in a warm atmosphere and be kosher.
I wish You, Your family and friends, all members of our community health and well-being.
Chag Pesach Sameach!
Alexander Bilinkis, President of the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova
