The 7th Forum of Directors of National Communities of the World Jewish Congress (NCDF)

The 7th Forum of Directors of National Communities of the World Jewish Congress (NCDF) took place in Budapest. 

The  (NCDF) is the international forum that brings together the most senior professionals from WJC-affiliated Jewish communities and organisations around the world.   The Forum serves as a platform for strengthening ties between communities, sharing ideas and resources.

The Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova was represented by the director of the organisation Aliona Grossu and the administrative director Alexander Kleinerman.

At this meeting was discussed diverse issues including Jewish community life post-COVID; the rise of extremist political parties; nurturing the next generation of Jewish communal leadership, and the ramifications of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine for Jewish communities in the region and beyond. 

As part of the meeting, a dinner was also held with the participation of representatives of the national authorities of Hungary and diplomats. The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova Mr. Oleg Tsulea also took part in this event.

We are grateful for their support and highly appreciate the knowledge and potential that the all communities share with us. NCDF is a unique venue in its diversity. Together we are definitely stronger,” said Aliona Grossu, director of the Jewish Community of Moldova.
