Three decades ago the rejuvenation of organized Jewish life in Moldova as a dream. Today it is a reality. NCSEJ appreciates the dedication and service that stands behind the miracle of rebirth. It is a tribute to the spirit and character of the members of the community that once more jews and Jewish communal institutions are a part of the landscape of Moldova.
NCSEJ is proud to be a partner with a Jewish Community of Moldova. Founded, more than forty ago when than Jewish life in the Soviet Union was at its low ebb, NCSEJ is the largest American Jewish organization devoted exclusively to the independent states of the post-Soviet era.
Over the decades NCSEJ has stood side-by-sides with the Jewish Community of Moldova. The restitution of seized Jewish property, the reintroduction of Jewish education and religious practice, the preservation of Holocaust sites, and the rebuilding of Jewish institutions are all parts f the complex and ongoing process of an emerging rich and diverse Jewish future in Moldova.
