Welcome to the website of the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova!
Our history, which began in 1935, is rich and diverse. Today, the Jewish Community of Moldova includes municipal and city communities, public organizations, and educational institutions.
Unity is our main strength. We bring together everyone, from young to old. The binding material that holds us together is our history, faith, traditions, and values.
We preserve our culture, religion, and customs, nurturing a deep respect for our history and roots. To this end, we regularly hold various events both within the Community and beyond. Our community center, “KEDEM,” is the place where we regularly gather to celebrate, support each other, and grow.
We actively build, renovate, and maintain synagogues and religious education for our fellow community members. We preserve and honor the memory of Holocaust victims.
We conduct mentoring and educational work so that our children and youth grow and develop in the spirit of our values. We educate others about who Jews are to eradicate stereotypes and false perceptions about us.
We protect and defend the rights of Jews at various levels of authority, both national and international, advocating for the restoration of historical justice.
We help those in need by implementing numerous charitable projects. The Humanitarian Aid Center actively supports those who have been forced to leave their homes in search of a safe life.
All of us — Community members and our international and national partners — contribute daily to the development of a healthy multinational society where the value of every ethnic and cultural community is recognized.
Join us! Together we can achieve even more!
