1. INTRODUCTION
This Return and Refund Policy governs the conditions under which users of the jcm.md website may request refunds for donations made through the website, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, in particular the provisions of Law No. 105/2003 on consumer protection, Law No. 1420/2002 on philanthropy and sponsorship, as well as the principles of transparency and accountability of A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova.

By making a donation through the jcm.md website, the donor confirms that they have read, understood and accepted this Return and Refund Policy.

2. LEGAL NATURE OF DONATIONS
Donations made through the jcm.md website constitute acts of gratuitous transfer of funds in favour of A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova, in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova and Law No. 1420/2002 on philanthropy and sponsorship.

Donations are voluntary and non-refundable, except in cases expressly provided for in this policy. Donated funds are used exclusively to support communal, cultural, educational, social and memorial projects of the Jewish community of the Republic of Moldova.

3. CONDITIONS FOR DONATION REFUNDS
A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova accepts donation refund requests in the following cases:

Erroneous transaction: the donated amount differs from the amount the donor intended to donate due to a technical or human error.

Duplicate transaction: the same amount was debited two or more times for the same donation.

Unauthorised payment: the transaction was carried out without the consent of the bank card or bank account holder.

4. DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING A REFUND REQUEST
A refund request may be submitted within a maximum of 30 calendar days from the date of the transaction. Requests submitted after this deadline will not be considered, except in cases of proven force majeure.

5. PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING A REFUND REQUEST
To request a donation refund, the donor must submit a written request to office@jcm.md, containing the following mandatory information:

• Full name of the donor
• Email address used when making the donation
• Exact date of the transaction
• Amount donated
• Payment method (MAIB, MIA, PayPal or bank transfer)
• Reason for the refund request
• Proof of transaction (screenshot, payment confirmation or bank statement)

6. PROCESSING OF REFUND REQUESTS
A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova will confirm receipt of the request within 7 working days of receiving it. The request will be reviewed and approved or rejected within 14 working days of the confirmation of receipt. If approved, the refund will be processed within a maximum of 30 calendar days from the date of approval confirmation.

Refunds are processed through the same payment channel used to make the donation:

Donations by bank card (MAIB, MIA): the refund is made to the card used for the transaction, through the payment provider. Donations via PayPal: the refund is made to the donor’s PayPal account. Donations via bank transfer: the refund is made by bank transfer to the account indicated by the donor in the refund request.

7. CASES IN WHICH A REFUND MAY BE REJECTED
A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova reserves the right to reject a refund request in the following cases:

• The request was submitted after the 30 calendar day deadline from the transaction date
• The donated funds have already been fully allocated and used for ongoing activities or projects, and the refund would jeopardise their completion
• The request does not contain the information and documents necessary to identify the transaction
• There are indications that the refund request is fraudulent

In the event of rejection, A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova will communicate the reasons for the refusal in writing and will propose, where possible, a fair alternative, for example redirecting the donated amount to another project of the organisation.

8. DONATIONS BY BANK TRANSFER
Donations made by direct bank transfer to the account of A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova are subject to the same refund conditions described in this policy. Bank details of A.O. CERM:

9. NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTION
Subscription to the jcm.md newsletter is free and voluntary. Users may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email received or by sending a request to office@jcm.md. Unsubscription is processed within a maximum of 5 working days from the date of the request. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect the processing of financial data in accounting documents, which are retained in accordance with applicable legislation.

10. AMENDMENT OF THE RETURN POLICY
A.O. Comunitatea Evreiască din Republica Moldova reserves the right to amend this Return and Refund Policy at any time, in accordance with legislative changes or changes in the organisation’s activities. The updated version will be published on the jcm.md website with the date of entry into force. Continued use of the website after publication of the amendments constitutes acceptance of the new version of the policy.
